About Reiki
The founder of Reiki was a Dr Mikao Usui origin of Japan. It is an ancient healing therapy that manipulates energy flow in the body.
Rei-means universal, ki- means energy. It is not affiliated with any religion or practice nor is it based on belief or suggestion; it is not a massage.
In Reiki “laying of the hands’ refers to a technique where a practitioner gently places their hands on or near a person’s body to channel energy for healing.
The Reiki practitioner during years of training is attuned by a reiki master with reiki symbols. Only a Reiki master can do this. This connects the reiki practitioner to the natural underseal energy flow.
Keeping the natural energy free flowing within the body, prevents blockages which will create physical symptoms in time. Reiki is beneficial for mental, emotional, spiritual, physical health and wellbeing.
The Treatment
The client will remove footwear only and lay on a therapy bed full clothed, covered with a blanket. A client can also sit on a chair. The reiki practitioner will gently place or raise their hands above energy points within the body. The client may experience slight tingles, have small jolts or twitches and feel heal from the practitioners’ hands.
This is perfectly normal and will ease after the session. A deep relaxation, peace and calm will be felt by the client.
The session can take around 1hour 15 minutes up to 1 hour 30 minutes.
Reiki re-aligns, re-regulates, re-balances the whole body and its systems. The outcome ‘Positive Health and Wellbeing”
